How could this opportunity kickstart your career in SaaS?

As the Sales Engineer you partner with the sales team in selling the EdTech and e-learning software solutions to prospects and existing customers. The new Sales Engineer needs to possess profound technical sales acumen, excellent communication skills, and a track record in selling sophisticated software solutions, ideally in an educational context.

The Sales Engineer’s role involves modelling financial business cases, matching customer requirements to proposed solutions, delivering compelling presentations and demos, as well as liaising proactively with various internal teams. Success in this role will be measured by the Sales Engineer’s ability to acquire new customers, drive revenue growth, ensure customer retention, and contribute to the overall success of the sales team and business.

The Sales Engineer’s expertise in selling technology solutions and your ability to build strong relationships with internal and external teams as well as senior executives will be instrumental in achieving sales targets. Objectives of this role
  • Obtain and maintain a profound understanding of the software products and services
  • Obtain and maintain a profound understanding of our target audiences, their business models, and their commercial as well as technical requirements
  • Obtain and maintain a profound understanding of market best practices and technology standards
  • Support the sales team with selling into prospect account base
  • Become strongly connected with various internal teams
  • Assume ownership and responsibility in complex sales cycles to successfully convert prospects into paying clients
  • Achieve sales and revenue targets
Day to Day
  • Partner with the sales team to plan, prepare and execute on strategic deals in complex sales cycles
  • Model the financial business case associated with each sales opportunity
  • Successfully match client pain/requirements to proposed solutions
  • Create and deliver powerful presentations and demos that clearly communicate the uniqueness of the value proposition
  • Manage all technical and commercial aspects of RFP / RFI responses
  • Support the Customer Success team with the onboarding of new clients, ensuring that the proposed solutions for their requirements are being implemented accordingly
  • Effectively communicate market and client needs to the product team for future product enhancements
  • Collect and document competitive intelligence
Requirements for the role
  • Fluent in English
  • Ability to forge strong, long-lasting relationships with internal and external teams, including senior executives
  • Ability to creatively explain, present and document complex concepts in an easy to understand manner
  • 3 years in sales or a technical client facing role such as a Technical Account Manager or CSM -> closing deals form 10-300k in ARR
  • E-learning or Edtech preferred
  • Willingness to travel
