Who is this scale up?
Someone told me that it costs up €500k to replace a sales person. Laying off, finding a replacement and the lost sales in the meantime. Why not reduce this? Avoid miss hires and people leaving.
This is what this company decided to change in 2018. The big expense of re-hiring and the scares supply of awesome employees is a true pain point for most companies, therefore training current employees is a must. Each great employee wants to learn and develop and with the proper training and software this is now possible.
The company works with enterprise clients, such as L’Oreal, KPMG, Microsoft etc, whom they managed to help with physical trainings, but also with state-of-the-art app. They create a ‘must have’ product that made the company this HR Tech company with 110 people in 2022 alone, and their growth plans are massive.
They are an international company, main HQ is in Amsterdam. Raised €40 mio in the last funding round and focus a lot on diversity. I visited their awesome office where the vibe of amazing people came to show. All cultures, backgrounds. Confidence, professionalism, energy and hardworking mindset is what they look for!
Roles, Background, and Fit
In the role of a Business Development Manager you will be in charge of the full sales cycle, targeting enterprise clients (2500+ FTEs). It can in general be from any industry, but in the Dutch market. Average ARR is 50k-100k, cycles 3-6 months. There are many stakeholders involved; HR, IT, Security, Procurement, C-level etc. Meaning that you need experience from working on large deals, with complex cycles and stakeholders.
You will get leads from SDRs, but some outbound will also have to be done from your side. Therefore, an existing network of HR leads from start will be best. Ideally the candidate has 3-4 years’ experience closing deals within HRTech, EduTech, L&D. Have done strategic sales towards Enterprise clients and HR decision makers.
As a person you should be hard working, coachable, have great confidence and full of energy! As a reward, you will grow with the company and more senior roles will be up for grabs when time is right.
To sum up
· 3-4 years SaaS business development experience (preferred HR Tech, EduTech & L&D platforms)
· Commercial guru, with professional and intelligent approach to sales
· Native Dutch is a must!
